Celebrity Endorsement
Network represents advertising agencies, public relations firms and corporate
clients in the acquisition of celebrity talent. CEN maintains a constantly
updated database containing the habits, hobbies, involvements, and current
contacts of well over 3,000 famous people, as well as research on each
celebrity's market appeal, popularity and commercial value.
As the industry leader,
CEN has secured hundreds of actors, sports figures and personalities for
clients such as General Motors, Bristol-Myers; Squibb, Revlon, Ralston
Foods, Anheuser-Busch, Denny's Restaurants, Hewlett-Packard, and many
others. CEN packaged the first (and to date only) endorsement ever done
by the "first man to walk on the moon" when we put Neil Armstrong
into a print campaign for Cadillac Motor Cars. Among the numerous celebrities
CEN has secured for its clients are Sylvester Stallone, Candice Bergen,
James Brolin, Cindy Crawford, Lauren Hutton, Heather Locklear, Brooke
Shields, Tony Gwynn, Michael Jordan, and William Shatner.
Noreen Jenney founded
CEN in 1980, at a time when celebrities were just beginning to become
involved in corporate advertising. Involved at the beginning of this new
industry, she helped "write the book" on how celebrities would
fit into this role. With a background in advertising, public relations,
and marketing, Ms. Jenney was the first to offer a service to advertisers
that allowed them to have someone "on their team" who knew the
celebrity marketplace and could negotiate on their behalf. Since our formation,
CEN has focused its efforts exclusively on celebrity acquisitions.
A voting member of
the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Ms. Jenney helps decide which
television programs and stars receive the coveted Emmy Award each year.
She has spoken on such topics as the cost and effectiveness of celebrities
in advertising and public relations campaigns, how casting decisions are
made, and how to package a "fair" celebrity deal. Addressing
subjects relating to celebrities in advertising and issues that impact
a celebrity's endorsement value, Noreen has appeared on numerous television
and radio programs including Entertainment Tonight, EXTRA, NBC Nightly
News, CNBC, Inside Edition, and The Larry King Show. She has been quoted
in many articles over the years in the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles
Daily Journal, Wall Street Journal, New York Post, USA Today, ADWEEK,
Advertising Age, The Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety, among others.
She is considered an expert in her field by the national media.
Ms. Jenney has been
retained as an expert witness in several cases involving celebrities in
advertising.
